INTRODUCTION

Hi, I'm Ray, a filmmaker from Curaçao, raised in Amsterdam.

I'm that guy in your friend group who's always filming something, documenting wholesome, unscripted and funny moments. Coming from a home where we didn't have a lot of videos and pictures of the family, I unintentionally always wanted to film everything, just to keep the moment alive. Getting older, I realized how fast time actually moves, especially when you're surrounded by the people you love.

I eventually started taking filmmaking seriously. The first wedding I filmed set everything in motion. I realized a wedding isn't just an event, it's one of the most intense, emotional, love-filled days a person will ever experience. Not just for the couple, but for everyone who's been part of their story up until this point. That's why weddings hit so different. People laugh until it hurts, cry without holding back, dance without thinking, what makes it a day of celebrating where time stops making sense. I don't remember every detail of the day, but I remember exactly how it felt. Stories have always been how we pass memories forward, and a camera gives us a way to return to what memory slowly forgets.

That's why I focus mainly on story, emotion, and the vibes. I believe these are the core pillars of a day you may never forget, one you'll want to relive over and over with your family, your friends, and hopefully the future generation. Some of my favorite moments are the ones you'd only catch on a second or third watch, a small detail, a quiet look, something you missed the first time around.

Being inspired by various films allows me to experiment and adapt them into my own storytelling style. That's why I prefer creating classics that never get boring but are filled with nostalgia. That's also why every couple receives the time, care, and attention needed to tell their story with intention, which is why I don't take more than 10 weddings each year.
